Anomaly with Transaction SUIM

In Transaction SUIM,

for Users with Authorization Values

Object: S_TABU_DIS

Authorization Group : *

Activity : *

I get 217 User IDs

but, with

Object: S_TABU_DIS

Authorization Group : SC

Activity : 02

I get only 4 users.

But shouldn't this results be more than or equal to 217 ?????

Please help.

    Hi Gautam,

See [SAP note 978447|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/978447] for an explanation of the search logic.

    Cheers,

Nope, entering a star (*) in the search field will make the report return ALL possible entries instead of searching for the value of *.

To search for * try #* (hash star). I know this works in SE16, so if it doesn't in suim you could always query table AGR_1251 to get the profiles holding these values

      To avoid a misunderstanding:

'*' will return any arbitrary entry, excluding only an empty field. So there must be something, no matter what that is.

'##' will return full authorization for "ALL possible entries", which may or may not be a ''.

'#' returns the value '', which also gives full authorization.

So there is a difference to SE16 for '*' and '' '' (space).

      Cheers,
