Reference Table and Field Name

Hi Experts,

In the Tcode CT04 in Additional data Tab page there are two fields - Reference Table and Field Name.

Can people who have worked in the area of VC help me in understanding the signficance of these two fields.

Pls help with a smal example but not with SAP or F1 help.

Hi,

This reference table and field name have the use that you can only allow entry of the data which are contained or existing in these reference table or field name.

If the data does not exist in the given table or field name then the corresponding data will not be updated.

Hi,

Say for e.g: the table Name is : DRAW and Field name:AENNR (Change No),

it means whatever change no entered in CT04, should definitely have an entry in the DRAW table.
