Components to be installed in Distributed System installation

I need to install a NW2004s in Distributed system.

As i am used to install only Central Systems,I reqeust you to please tell me the components to be isntalled, for installing Distributed system

The components are

Central Service Instance

Database instance

Central Instance

Dialog Instance

Hi Balaji,

You want to install NW04s in Distributed system i.e 2 Physical servers for eg Host A and Host B.

So in this case install in the following sequence:

1. Install SCS in Host A.

2. Install Database in Host B

3. Install CI in Host A.

Hi,

now i have installed SCS in Host A.

now i am going to install Datbase instance in Host B.

Can u pls tell me in which location , i will be specifying that the SCS is in Host A

Also please tell the host in which i should install the MS SQL Server

Hi Balaji,

First of all ensure that the host files on both the systems have entries of each other. So that both the systems are accessible to each other.

While installing database instance SAPinst will ask you the location of the profile directory which is created during SCS installation in Host A.

You have to install MS SQL server in host B.
