Hardware Sizing

Hi,

I want to know the relation between SAPS count and no of CPUs. I am working on hardware solution for various SAP netweaver components on DB2 UDB and AIX plateform.

Please share the knowledge.

>1.There is not much difference between running one DI with many server nodes then running several DI's. on the same machine.

>2.The recommendation (from the j2ee development lab) is not to have more server nodes then CPU meaning if you have 4 CPU don't have more then 4 server nodes.

>3.If your specific scenario is Memory oriented meaning that the CPU utilization is not 100% and the bottle neck is Memory then the above is not must and you might want to have more server nodes in order to better utilize the machine memory.
