Workflow for Customer Quotation

Hi

I've a workflow running for customer quotation. It is made using BOR BUS2031. Now it is triggered with any change or creation of customer quotation.

I want my workflow to run for each item of the quotation. The reason being ,status is attached to each line item no.

The workflow has to execute differant actions depending on the status I choose(for e.g. approve, reject, etc).

Hi Anik,

As there is no method for Release, you can go for user decision. or see if there is any user status. If there is any then using tat u can config yr workflow

The user status is already being customised by the SD consultant. The problem here is to trigger the workflow for each line item of the quotation which will have differant status.

you mean wf want to trigger whenever a new line item is added or u r going to trigger at once when the customer quotation is created ??

I think if no particular event is getting triggered from status managemnt also then I feel there is only one way you can achieve is to make a program run in background that will check the status of the line item and trigger custom event accordingly. Use SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT or SWE_EVENT_CREATE FM.

You should not use SWE_EVENT_CREATE (unless you use an old R/3 release). That function module has not been released for customer use (not that I always worry about that...) and has been replaced by SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT.
