what is DB statistics and what is the use of DB statistics and in which scenario we use DB statistics?

Hi Lalitha,

Based on the below findings you can see the performance of your cube, aggregates, query performance, laoding performance etc.

To collect the information about the Database time, OLAP Time, Front End time, No. of records selected /transfered etc in the following three ways:

1.By analysing the contents of table " RSDDSTAT"

2.By using T-codes ST03 or ST03N

3.By implimenting BW Statistics Business Content - you need to install, feed data and through ready made reports which for analysis.

You can go to T-Code DB20 which gives you all the performance related information like

Partitions

Databases

Schemas

Buffer Pools

Tablespaces etc

Your enthusiasm to help out and provide good replies is great, but please make an effort before replying to a question to see

1. If someone posting before you has recommended that the person asking the question should search for answers to the question. In this case, I don't think you should post another lengthy reply.

2. If no search has been recommended, you can search for similar threads, or request the person to search...this is especially in the case of the one-line "What is..." questions.
