    Hi Alex,

    Regarding installing IDES 4.7 on computer or laptop I can suggest its all depends on your requirement & money you can spend.

    Hardware Requirements :

    For SAP 4.7 :-

    HDD space reqd: 80 GB.

    Processor Speed 2 GHz.

    Memory Reqd 1 GB( For Installation).

    Minimum Memory Reqd 256 MB (For Running sap4.7). Additional HDD reqd:20GB(For SAP DVD's dump during Installation.)

    Software Requirements:

    Server/ OS :: Windows 2000 Server| Windows server 2003|Any Unix Flavors

    Dabase :: DB: SQL 200X|Oracle 9i| DB2|Informix

    Again I would like to say you can go for higher hardware configuration as well but it all depends how much can you afford.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Deepanshu
