How is receipt date on manually entered PReq determined?

In SNP, I sometimes manually key PReqs into the planning book (SNP94). I key them in by entering a quantity at the receiving location, and then selecting a source/means of transport from the popup screen.

If I select a MOT with a shorter duration (e.g. airfreight), the PReq receipt date is changed to an earlier date than the date that I keyed.

It seems that APO is determining ship date based on a longer duration MOT (e.g. ship), and then adding the duration from the airfreight MOT to that ship date to determine the receipt date.

I want APO to respect the receipt date that I'm entering, but to use the shorter MOT that I've selected. Any suggestions?

Scott,

I've also tested the same. When I use the Demand Date to enter the PRs using 2 Means of Transports (MOT) ... system behaves correctly and gives the correct available Dates. i.e : Gives a Earlier Available Date for the Shorter MOT in the PR.

However when I enter the Receipt Date, the same does happen. When I create in TLB Interactive Planning, the Calculated Available Date seems to behave as if it is following the First MOT in the TLB Lane rather than the MOT you have selected. However once I save the PR ... the correct earlier date is calculated which is earlier than the Date I entered. Effectively System

I think you should OSS this issue to SAP. We are on SCM SP#8 & have this Problem too. SCM 50 is now on SP#11. Perhaps there is a Patch for this, if not you should send this issue to SAP as I think it is a Bug.
