Problem with extractor

Hi Experts,

I have a generic extractor which is build on Function Module, We extract Purchase order history data from R3 to BW based on last 30 days PO Creations and PO chnages (PO created and PO changed date).

My Problem is I am missing some material documents with this selection.

For example : I will extract the data once in a week based on above selections (PO created and PO change date). Assume that I have done a load

1st load 3rd Dec 2007 -- Selections-- PO Created from 3rd Nov 2007 to 3rd Dec 2007 and PO Changed from 3rd Nov 2007 to 3rd Dec 2007.

2nd load 10th Dec 2007 -- Selections-- PO Created from 10th Nov 2007 to 10th Dec 2007 and PO Changed from 10th Nov 2007 to 10th Dec 2007.

This is how I extract the PO history data.

Now the user is going to created (assign) some Material documents (GR/IR) for a PO on 4th December for the PO which is created on 5th Nov 2007. In this case I am missing the 4th Dec 2007 data because my selection is PO created and PO changed and this changed will not be consider as PO changes.

Can any one provide me the solution for this issue.

Please ask me if you cannot understand the problem.

Thanks in Advance

Narendra

    Hi Narendra,

GR/IR happens against a PO. So, if the PO is not created, GR/IR have no reference. So, check the process once with your Functional consultant. If this scenario is possible (advanced GR/IR???). I think A GR/IR can not be created against a PO on 4th nov for which the PO is created on the 5th nov. Hope it helps.

    Thanks and Regards

      Hello Subray,

The PO was created on 4th Nov 2007 and the user is created GR/IR on 5th Dec 2007.

For the PO which was created on 4th Nov 2007 is already extracted to BW in the

1st load on --- 3rd Dec 2007 -- Selections-- PO Creations from 3rd Nov 2007 to 3rd Dec 2007 and PO Changes from 3rd Nov 2007 to 3rd Dec 2007. at this time of extraction the GR/IR documents have not been created for the PO.

2nd load 10th Dec 2007 -- Selections-- PO Created from 10th Nov 2007 to 10th Dec 2007 and PO Changed from 10th Nov 2007 to 10th Dec 2007. with this selection the I missed the GR/IR documents for the PO which was created on 4th Nov 2007.

This is a full load to ODS based on selections PO created an PO changed

Now how to fix the issue. I want all the records to come to BW. I have solutions but this is not a feasible (Perform a full load thrice in a week based on the last one year PO creations and PO changes).

This is generic extractor which is build on Function Module. Can't we modify the extractor so that it picks the deltas or modify the Function module to pick the deltas.

      Any Feasible solutions please?

Can anybody help me in this issue. This is a challenging ticket for me.

      Thanks in Advance.

    Dear Narendra,

Your problem is related to business logic used in the function module.

Can u consider delta uploading for the the po instead of using exact date selection.

    Regards,

    Mahendra
