OM number range - change from internal to external

I would like to change my OM number range from internal to external, how do I do that?

is there a feature similar to NUMKR in PA?

yes i have, however i would greatly appreciate some tips on how to change the values there, currently its

Subgroup NR int assign NR ext assign

$$$$ IN EX

i know its internally assigned since when i create an object, it automatically create an Object ID

what i want to know is how to switch from using internal to external number assignments

Hi ..

I believe, you have to delete the entry and recreate it with the Ex check box checked.

i now have two number ranges available, the system is automatically picking up the internal number series

how to i make the system pick up the external number series?

Hi,

Just a suggestion. A similar external number assignment is done in my SAP system

1) Select the Row with "$$$$ IN EX"

2) Select the Push Button "Number Range Maintanance"

3) Press the "Change Intervals" buton

4) Select the row with Number Range as "EX" . [ You can tick the Checkbox under column "EXT" for Row 'EX" ] .

This would enable the External Number Assignment.
