ADS support on i5/OS platform

Hi,

PAM matrix and notes 925741 and 863872 explaind that ADS is not supported on i5/OS platform but it is supported on Windows/Unix platform.

Document "Using ADS with SAP on IBM DB2 for i5/OS" explains the suppoorted possibilities:

1. ADS in the Java stack of a Dialog instance on Windows

1.1. ABAP+Java Dialog instance on Windows + Central instance on i5/OS

1.2. Java Dialog instance on Windows + Central instance on i5/OS

2. ADS in a SAP system on a supported platform

2.1. ABAP+Java Central instance on Windows/Unix

2.2. Java Central instance on Windows/Unix

So, ADS support forces to install a Windows/Unix SAP system or a Windows SAP instance.

My customers consider this fact a serious i5/OS limitation that impacts seriously his architecture, skills and administration costs. They do not understand why the same processor (power 6, 5+ or 5) supports ADS on AIX but does not support ADS on i5/OS. We have not any notice that ADS

will be supported on i5/OS on the future.

Could you confirm, justify and explain why ?.
