SAP Landscape replication server to transfer data to and fro between S/4 HANA and other ECC system

Hello ,

Our customer would be moving towards S/4 HANA from existing SAP ECC 6 server.

However there would be a time frame where both systems would need to be active in parallel.

It is know that by use of SAP landscape replication server we can transfer data from ECC 6 system to S/4 HANA . However is there a possibility to also have data transfer from S/4 HANA to ECC using the Landscape replication server.

We could end up with scenarios such as a new Sales order would have to be transferred from S/4 to ECC, on the other hand the results of MRP as new Purchase reqs would have to be transferred from ECC to S/4 HANA.

has anyone tried this in past, is this scenario worth considering via the Replication server or we have to consider building custom interfaces.

Please let us know

Regards,

Devendra

Hi Devendra,

actually there're no any obstacles to replicate data from S/4 to ECC. SLT server can replicate data in any direction.
BUT the main problem is in other area:
- imagine you replicate TABLE1 from system1 to system2.
- SLT server creates a logging table and triggers that write the changing into the logging table in system1
- now you create similar confirugation to replicate same TABLE1 from system2 to system1
- SLT server creates logging table and triggers in system2 as well

-> and now you insert record in system1 -> it comes into loggin table and transfered into system2 -> as soon as record will be inserted into TABLE1 on system2 it comes into the logging table in system2 and must be right momentan moved in direction of system1.

You come into endless loop.

Theoretically I have a view how could be organized the tables to filter data for replication, but it's to complicated for the standard SAP solution.
