Hi PP Gurus,

I have a BOM for finished product ,

Finished product---- 1 cv

COMPONENT 0.5 CV

WHEN I AM PREPARING PRODUCTION ORDER FOR FINISHED PRODUCT TAKING QUAN 3 CV , IT TAKES REQUIREMENT OF COMPONENT IS 2 CV NOT 1.5 CV.

Dear Vikas

Enter decimal places 3 for the UOM in transaction CUNI. The requirements rounds up because the decimal places for UOM configured doesnot allow this.

Hi,

In CUNI , i changed but still in production order it is taking same quantity . in bom it is ok but when we create the production order it is taking wrong quantity not copying the bom.

Yes we are maintaining alternate unit for

FM , 1CV = 12 EA

COMPONENT, 1CV = 24 EA

Can u change the qty of finished product from 3 to some other value??

Check this. Hope u have not maintained some minimum lot size in material master

Also check for scrap...

Is this error appearing for this material only or even in others

See this error is a common error and there were many threads related to this.......and above given options were some of the main cause of the issue

Please check all these and revert

For solving this issue i used Mr. Sounder solution, with the help of MM guy i solved this issue.

check bom header details as base quantity for the header material.

Probable reasons could be either of following

1) Check whether alternative units of measures have been maintained for assembly / components - If any

2) Assembly / Component scrap value

Try to change the qty of finished product and then see the proposed qty and try to relate it with above reasons
