payslip--Form 16 summary

Hi Experts,

How are the values in the FORM 16 SUMMARY in the standard indian payslip calculated?

In the standard Indian payslip we have the Form 16 summaries

Gross salary

Balance

Standard Deduction

Aggregate deductions etc...

Kindly tell me how are these values calculated ?

Is it calculated on the Gross amount or the net amount?
