Hi Venkat,

Interfaces generally used where the Data flow is required to SAP from any Legacy system and vice versa.

I can give you examples like Master Data can be created in GES and send to SAP via interface. Similarly the Windchill can be used as interface to create Material Master.

Hope this will give some inputs to your question.

Interface can be any thing.

Ex:- if your client is having forecast in legassy system before implementing .say if that company wants to keep the legasy forecast intact & only they want the data from forecats to be uploaded to SAP.

You can write an interface to upload the forecast data to SAP.

This is the combined job of programmer & functional consultant.
