Activity Types

Hi All,

I want to know the Activity Types used in Work center. As far as i only know Set up, Machining and Labour/Tear down. please help me.

I hope you know that activity type is used for calculating cost. As per the WC formula it will give the no of hrs used for let us say set up---1

Now activity type is planned in KP26. in which we will defibe ffor the given period and cost centre what is the cost per hrs of usage of m/c---2

Now from above 1 we will get no of hrs and from 2 we will get price/hr...

multiplying both will give you the total cost incurred from production in that cost center.

Hi Santosh,

You can create your own activity types by using T-code KL01. In the activity type you have to assign a activity unit and cost center category alongwith secondary cost element.

Once you created the activity, you can assign them in work center. You also have to maintain formulas to calculate activity (you can use same formulas that are used for capacity calculation provided , in the IMG for maintaining formula, Allowed for costing indicator is ticked).

And you have to maintain pricing in KP26.

From activity quantity and pricing you can find activity cost.

You can define any activity Types but maximum of 6 , in the Work Center according to your Requirement.

Hi santosh,

Activty types assigned at costing view of workcenter, linked with operation values is given at routing.

if u assign one activity type at workcenter, u can do can do one activity (setup) using this workcenter at operation.

If u want to do more activity u have to assign more numbers of activity types at workcenter & assign the standard value key (setup, machine..)

If u create routing with this work center all activity types and stad values keys are copied by default.

Operation cost will be calcualted based on the activty coct erate defiend at KP26 for each activity type

To create New activity type KL01.
