Hello,

Check the note:

1060384 Query Designer: Where Used List for Web Templates (BTMP)

This should help. There was an error for this function.

Go to RSA1 -> MetaData Repository.

There you can check in the Queries, you will get all the Web templates build on that Query.

Thanks a lot, that helped.

In this context, can you also please explain me: if the web template is the only link between the query we develop in BEX designer and the report displayed on Portal ?

Thanks,

Venkat

Yes, to my knowledge if you want to display the BEX Query in portal then you have to create a web Template. I don't think there is any other way to display a report in portal.

where I get confused/unclear is the report that is displayed in Portal uses some default templates like 0ADHOC, 0ANALYSER etc... other than these when I try to compare my Webtemplate with the concerned report displayed in portal they don't completely match.

Wondering is there any other source (other than Web temp) for the portal report getting displayed ?

Hi Venkat,

The reason you are getting 0Analyzer and 0ADHOC is when we execute a query from query designer then the system takes the default web template specified in the system.

As for the Use of portal, when we create a iView for the Portal then we create a BW Query iView which in turn uses the default template again. So apart from the templates u design for the query these are the additional templates which comes up when u check the stats.

Hope It answers ur question

Thanks

Hi,

You can set the properties of Web templates for all Web applications in Customizing.

You make these settings in the SAP Reference IMG > SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > SAP NetWeaver > Business Intelligence > Settings for Reporting and Analysis > BEx Web > Determine Settings for Web Templates.

Specifying standard Web templates for ad hoc analysis and reports

For more information, see the SAP Reference IMG > SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > SAP NetWeaver > Business Intelligence > Settings for Reporting and Analysis > BEx Web > Set Standard Web Templates
