Issue with transaction codes

Friends,

I'm new to SAP & XI.

I tried to excute transaction code XK01/XK02/XK04 but gets "Transaction "XXXX" does not exist.

I'm having issue with majority of Transaction codes. (Customer, Vendor etc)

When I tried to run WE05 to see the IDoc list but I keep getting "No IDocs selected" doesn't matter what search criteria I give.

I appreciate any help on this.

that tcode you mentioned is not for xi,

but for sap ecc.

actually xi is not a business system.

xi is just a middleware.

you have to use the tcode which is special for xi.

otherwise, you are gonna run into info "Transaction "XXXX" does not exist.

All these transactions are meant for R/3 system. XI is SAP system but unlike SAP R/3 system.

The job of XI is to integrate these SAP and non-SAP systems. So if you want to create vendor and all you can use R/3 system and role of XI comes when you want to send this data to any other SAP or non SAP system.

To view IDoc list(inbound and outbound) in XI the transaction used is IDX5.

Again WE05,WE02 are the transactions on R/3 system for same purpose

Those transactions what you mentioned here are being used in the Business ( i.e. where the SAP products comes into play).

XI is used for Process Integration and here, we are dealing with development ( how to integrate between systems using messages).

XI is not coming with any kind of Business transactions that means it is for development only.

In SAP systems, we can see all the applications (which are mentioned as T.Codes). and we refer SAP system as R/3. And in SAP systems itself, if you don't have DIALOG USER role assigned, you can t' view any.

Hi Dave,

The reason why you are getting this error is becasuse all these transactions are meant for R/3 System not for XI system.

XK01 - Create vendor

Xk02 - Change vendor

Xk03 - Display vendor

And we05 dor viewing IDOC...

if you run all these Transactions in R/3 or ECC system.. It will execute..
