Hi everybody,
Pls explain me clearly, I am still not able to understand.
Till full load no need of creating the DTP?? Till full load we can make it Infopackage so the full load datas will be there in PSA.
After that creat the DTP and give delta or how it works pls explain me the delta works here.
Thanks
Sathiya
Run the Infopackage - say Init with data transfer - This will load Req 1 to PSA.
Run the Delta DTP - This will laod Req1 to Target - ODS, Cube....{ No Init is reqd for DTP's - First Time DTP is acting like Init with data transfer }
Tommorow, when you run the Infopackage with Delta as update type - Req 2 is loaded to PSA
Run the Delta DTP - This will only load Req2 to Target - ODS, Cube....
Or
Run the Infopackage - say Init with data transfer - This will load Req 1 to PSA.
Run the Full DTP - This will laod Req1 to Target - ODS, Cube....
Delete Req1 from PSA
Tommorow, when you run the Infopackage with Delta as update type - Req 2 is loaded to PSA
Run the Delta DTP - This will only only laod Req2 to Target - ODS, Cube....
{ First Time DTP acting like Init with data transfer }
Note : Delta DTP will only fetch unloaded requests in target from PSA.
Hi,
So only one DTP is sufficient to load the full and delta data right??
If we have not deleted the previous req in PSA and loading the present req to DTP will this not take the previous req from PSA right??
Deleting the prevoius req and loading the todays req this option is there in process chain is there any option without using the pc??
Pls let me know.
Thanks

hi ,
There is no difference between BI7.0 and BW
BW 3.5 using infopackage ur loading the data upto cube level ,
but In BI 7.0 using infopackage u can load the data upto PSA level, from there u can run the DTP,
u can follow the same data loading as BW 3.5 procedure like full, Init, Deltas, upto PSA level in BI ,after that ................ From PSA to Cube follow these
In BI 7.0 also if u want to run the full load u need to create *DTP for Full load* ,if u want to load delta loads u need to create DTP for delta,_
If u run the full load ,The DTP is fetching the whole PSA level data at time , even though PSA got delta also ,if u run Full load it combines all request in to single request and sending to Cube ,
in case if u runThe DTP for delta , it fetches the only Delta loads what PSA table got deltas
i think now u can understand the situation,
if ur not understand i can explain clearly
if it is useful assign points

The deltas in BI 7.0 are a bit different than in 3.X.
DTP calculates the delta from PSA based on request that has not been uploaded into the target.
Below are some scenarios & options to handle them:
Datasource - Delta
Info Pkg Mode - Init (1st time); Delta (repetitive)
DTP Mode - Delta
Datasource - Full
Info Pkg Mode - Full
DTP Mode - Delta (Have to delete previous request in Cube through Pr Chn)
DTP Mode - Full (Rarely used; If used then all previous requests have to be deletd from PSA & cube. Else data will double up).

Hope this helps,
