What is an Ad Hoc Workflow ?
What is the significance of it ?
Can anyone give me any link or documents which throws some light on these questions ?
Thanks,
Shounak M.
Hi Shounak,
Ad-hoc Workflow is an interesting option which facilitates to change ( infact extend ) the workflow definition in runtime. As work ad-hoc means 'on the fly', this gives an opportunity to change the behaiour/process flow during the runtime of workflow.
You can find more information on this

Ad-hoc Workflows can be used in scenario's where you feel or want to give an opportunity to users ( some specialized users) to change the process flow. For example: During the approval flow, if user wants the document to be reviewed by some one else and some certain process to be carried out by this new reviewer. The process for review can be defined as seperate workflow and include ad-hoc anchor refering to this workflow.
Above link provides you more information on this !!

Ad-hoc workflow is mostly used in scenario in which client wants to change the approver or add another approver. It is predominantly used in SRM System of SC and PO.
