Delta upload error

Hi Experts,

I tried to load the FI data into the Enterprise Controlling Cube with full update and was successfull but when i try to load the same cube with delta i am getting 0 records with the status ok(Green light) which should load some records. Please help me out with detail steps.

I want to delete the entire data and reload it again because my guys done some experiments on the server. So can you people help me to solve this problem.

Aft deleting a full load, Init with data transfer will bring all records not a delta aft Init w/o data transfer - if you did it this way.

Delete all the data in the target.

Delete the Init from Infopackage Scheduler

Do Init with data transfer - Run it

Deltas will follow.

Or

Init w/o

Deltas..

Hi Jr,

Sorry for the ignorance. Actually i am an SAP EP Consultant working on SAP BW. Let me clearly explain the problem. SAP BW 3.1C is implemented in 2004 and ever since it is not been used. Now when i try to load the data with full update in the Enterprise Controlling cube and the load failed when i checked the records in the PSA the records were uploaded still 04.2007. I checked the init and in the selections

0FISCPER=2003001-2006012;.

I changed the status to green and tried with init/wo and delta but igot 0 records.

Is the problem with the init? Like to now how to change the selections in the init.

Please help me.

Did you already delete all data in the Cube ?

Rclick on cube - Delete Data

Empty PSA

Infopackage - Scheduler - Init Options for source system - Select and Delete the Init

Infopackage - Init with datatransfer - Dont have any selections in the Infopackage - Run the Infopackage

What is the vol of data ?

Yes i deleted the data from the cube empted the PSA and deleted the init.

The Volume of the data is nearly 2 crore records.

Things which i have done

1. Deleted the all the requests

2. Deleted all the data in PSA

3. Deleted the Init in the infosource

4. Scheduled Full Update and load stoped (Records seen in PSA still 31.03.2007)

5. Changed the status to Green

6. Schedular-Init/Wo data Transfer(1 record uploaded)

7. Delta Upload (0 Records updated)

When i checked the init Selection Coditions=0FISCPER=2003001-2006012;.

Error Message is Snapshot too (in R/3 system) .

Do these selection condition are saved for the data source in the R/3 system.

Its urgent. Can you please help me from this problem.

Main task is that i want to delete all the data in the cube and upload the entire data from the r/3 system that is from 2003 to still date. the volume of the data is nearly 2Cr records.

Dear Mrudul,

Please follow these steps.

1) delete all the requests in the infocube.

2) As you are saying you have more than 20 million records to load, try to split he load into multiple loads. For this Load the full load infopackage with selection on fiscal period.for eg: 2003 to 2005 in one go , 2005 to 2006, and 2007 in another attempt.

3) after successful full loads, run a initi with out data tarnsfer package

4) delta will start coming as in when the changes happen in R/3

Why are you changing status - 5. Changed the status to Green ?

As you require all data delete the selections conditions init...these are given in BI itself.

Follow steps suggested by Srinivas to load history in splits.

Records should tally RSA3 versus = Records in PSA Table.

Do Init w/o datatransfer and Deltas will follow.

Usually users will be locked so no transactions take place in the source or do these loads in Off time.

Thanks for helping me to solve the problem. Now i am able to extract the data with delta upload but when i compare the data with the R/3 System Balance Sheet Report and BW ECPCA Cube reports, the figures are doubled.

Sales Revenue, Domestic Sales and Export sales etc all the fields are doubled.

Can you please tell me who to retify this error?
