Seeking Solution for Network Connection from China Office

Hi there,

We are developing a solution to allow our Chinese branch to access SAP ECC system here in the US. The first task is to pick the right network communication protocol/technology as the enabler. Our initial thought is to use the VPN technique for the simplicity reason and low cost. But our Chinese office has a concern regarding the lateness sensitivity of the SAPGUI application. Then they recommend Frame-relay technique based connection, which is definitely costly than the VPN one.

So, if someone out there has the same challenge and got some success stories to share, I would like to thank you in advance. Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Joshua,

you can use frame relay without issues as long and the response time is less the 1000ms the perfomance will be good. also you can use citrix and vpn. The advantage of Citrix is that the only thing traveling is the display all the processing is done in the source location...
