Is there any limitation in length of file that can be downloaded to to PC?

Hi guys,

Is there any limitation in length of file that can be downloaded to to PC from application server. I am not able to download more than 1500 bytes. The file consists of single row with around 30000 bytes length(Maximum)

    Hi Vinod,

    Normally you dont face any problem while reading the data from Text file.just delclare one internal table like below and try.

    data: begin of li_file occurs 0,

    data(4000),

    end of li_file.

    data: lv_tabch TYPE char01 VALUE cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab.

    CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload

    EXPORTING

    filename = lv_fname

    filetype = 'ASC'

    has_field_separator = ' '

    dat_mode = 'X'

    CHANGING

    data_tab = LI_FILE

    EXCEPTIONS

    file_open_error = 1

    file_read_error = 2

    no_batch = 3

    gui_refuse_filetransfer = 4

    invalid_type = 5

    no_authority = 6

    unknown_error = 7

    bad_data_format = 8

    header_not_allowed = 9

    separator_not_allowed = 10

    header_too_long = 11

    unknown_dp_error = 12

    access_denied = 13

    dp_out_of_memory = 14

    disk_full = 15

    dp_timeout = 16

    not_supported_by_gui = 17

    error_no_gui = 18

    OTHERS = 19.

    IF sy-subrc <> 0.

    MESSAGE I069 WITH 'Error when uploading data.'.

    fp_subrc = 2.

    ENDIF.

    LOOP AT LI_FILE INTO LS_FILE. " LL

    SPLIT LS_FILE AT lv_tabch

    INTO itab-ebeln

    itab-ebelp

    itab-matnr..........

    endloop.

    if you follow the above procedure you dont face any problem i guess.
