Error when Installing Solution Manager for XI

Hi,

I am currently installing the SAP Solution Manager in a new server before I am going to install SAP XI. This is because I need the Solution Manager to generate a Key for the XI installation. I am choosing a typical installation. However, I keep hitting into Installation errors as below:

ERROR 2008-01-04 17:42:37.279

FSL-01002 Unable to create account sinitasd1201\SAPServiceDSS. HRESULT=0x80005009

ERROR 2008-01-04 17:42:37.279

MUT-03025 Caught ESyException in Modulecall: ESAPinstException: error text undefined.

ERROR 2008-01-04 17:42:37.279

FCO-00011 The step createAccounts with step key |NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_Users_Create_Do|ind|ind|ind|ind|5|0|createAccounts was executed with status ERROR .

There are a total of 43 steps at the installation, and this error occurs at Step 2.

There are a few questions which I need some help:

1) Since the server is fresh, and it is a new installation, when defining parameters during installation, do I choose "Register in existing central SLD" or "Configure a new SLD"?

1a) If I need to choose "Register in existing central SLD", what values should I input for SLD HTTP Host, SLD HTTP Port, SLD Gateway Host and SLD Gateway Instant Number?

1b) If I need to choose "Configure a new SLD", what value should I input for the Object Server Name?

2) Any ideas what the errors above is about and how to solve them?

Please kindly advise, thank you.

Open the SAP MMC and start the java instance manually or investigate why it didn't start.

Hi,

I have opened the SAP Management Console, but I cannot see any Java Engine there. Is there any other ways to manually start the java engine? Thanks.

You can start J2EE using SMICM or from the command prompt using jcmon.

1.b. object server ( server machine name)

2) i can't trigger the error mentioned. check your database patches, and make sure that you stopped SAP instances.
