Hi Friends,

Our's is 2 system landscape, Dev and Prd.

We have application server and DB Server on PRD and OS, DB Data is also on PRD Server Now we are planning to split our production server into 2 Application server and DB Server.

If Yes How Please let me Know in details

If No, WHY???????????????

Please Help me out ......................Waiting for reply

Hello Raj,

What you need to do is hardware migration. Please check the guides for OS/DB migration on market place.

Please post your query clearly.

What I can understand, In a single Server you have PRD DB + PRD Application Server.Now you want 2 Aplication Servers. Just do a Dialg Instance Installation on the Same Server. You have to check all the required pre-requisites before going ahead as per Inst Guide.

Actually we have Application server and Database server in only one server i.e., PRD

Now we want Application server separate and Database Server Separate is it possible.......

Hi Rajm

You're going to need a bit of a downtime in your production environment to do this...

First you need to do a full backup of your production environment, then you need to do a Homogeneos system copy and then deploy the DB on your DB server and your CI on your the CI box. Not too difficult to do but a bit time consuming.

Also, depending on the DB your using you'll need to have the DB server and client ready before the deployment.
