Importing roles directly into role expert

We are in the process of implementing/configuring role expert, is there a file layout template we can use in order to load roles directly into role expert?

You can't upload roles into role expert that haven't already been created in your SAP system. That is to say, you can download the role descriptions for existing roles from your SAP system and upload that information into Role Expert. However if you haven't created the role already, then you will have to either create each role one at a time in Role Expert and then export/Generate the role into your SAP system, or create the roles one at a time in your SAP system and then run the mentioned report to download the data, which can then be uploaded into Role Expert.

Hi Adrian,

in case you are willing to upload roles from your backend system to 5.2 RE you should do so with Transaction /VIRSA/RE_DNLDROLES creating a bulk file (in backend) and then upload it to RE (Configuration Tab -> Mass Role Import). Complete Process is described in Config and User guide under chapter Mass Role Import.
