Basics about portal

Hi SDN Gurus,

Please let me come out from the below basci doubts.....

1.what all r tthe different types of portals are avialable other than sap-ep?

2.what makes difference between those portals?

3.why sap-ep is having more advantage as compare to other portals?

    Intranet

    Also called Enterprise portals

    Internet

    Internet gateways or libraries (not focused on internal enterprise functions)
