Can somebody help me to find out why XI tools like IR, RWB and ID take long time to open or execute?

Check the Hardware Configuration...some time due to RAM we face the problem too...

Also the server you are talking about is your personal server?? If yes then it is slow may be due to

VIRUS attack. yes it is true...I faced the same problem, when I upgrade the XI server due to some external memory devices Virus entered in my Laptop, and it becom so slow to work:(

Hi,

1) Clear the Java cache ( In your system ). Usually the path will be - C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\___\Java\Deployment\javaws\cache\http

2) Restart J2EE engine.

goto administration->J2EE local instance->send soft shutdown ->with restart

I don't think there is such way any limitaion. But it should not be more frequently to restart.
