HTTP 500 error after Win AD SSO fails

Hello Experts,

The below issue is specific to one user.

We have Win AD SSO(Vintella) configuration in place. The user logs into his/her laptop using an id which is different from BO user id.

Exp : Network login id : firstname.lastname

BO user id : lastname.

In this case,my expectation would be SSO should fail(because of id mismatch) and it should ends up in the BO login page.

But when the user enters the launchpad URL it's throwing HTTP 500 error.

Error :

HTTP status 500- javax.servlet.ServletException:java.lang.NullPointerException:while trying to invoke the method java.lang.string.tocharArray() of a null object loaded from local variable 'enc'.

Our requirement is to return the login page once after the SSO fails.

Thanks in advance,

Manhoj

You can should be able to bypass SSO and login to http://boeserver:port/BOE/BI/logonNoSso.jsp

    and that is case sensative

    Hello Manhoj Viknesh,

Can you please check it's not an alias issue!

      Hi Yogesh,

Thanks... But It's not an alias issue as other authentication types are out of scope in this.

    Hi Manoj,

Seems to be an issue, hope you had raised an incident to SAP, so that SAP support can review the configuration and suggest whether it is really an issue or configuration problem.

    Regards,

    Venkat
