Billing Number Range Exhaustion

Hi All,

If the number ranges (0000000001 to 999999999) ten billion are in the edge of exhaustion, what could be the alternate solutions we have in SAP?

Please let me know if there is any solution implemented / SAP notes regarding this.

Would be interested to know if your client have really in the edge of exhaustion. If so, then you need to consider archiving option in which case, have a look at OSS note 781802

Yes, we are in edge of exhaustion. And to be precise on the problem, we are in the situation that Billing/FI doc numbers (which are same in our system) are going to be exhausted and we have no option to pull any other number range for billing/FI numbers.

Hence, looking for the alternate solutions.

Archiving documents and checking that the number range is configured as rollable in transaction SNRO? (RV_BELEG, field box NONRSWAP)

If archiving is not a solution, raise an incident to SAP OSS or look for some BAdI/Exit like USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (read notes like 1249480 - Country-specific buffering RV_BELEG/number assignment in SD (mod/example) or SPRO documentation) to use some alphanumeric range (0000000000-9999999999, A000000000-A999999999, etc.)
