SAP Success Factors, Workforce Software and Dell Boomi connection to OnPremise S/4HANA

We are in the process of developing our plans for our network and have some questions about SAP Cloud Connector.

Our on-premise systems include S/4HANA, GW/Fiori, SolMan, and Web Dispatcher.

The cloud systems include Success Factors (ECM) and Workforce Software with Dell Boomi as the ETL s/w.

Questions:

1) Is Cloud Connector the right product for us to use to provide a secure connection between the cloud s/w and the on-premise apps? (Originally we were going to just put WD in the DMZ and open the appropriate ports/urls, but it was suggested the SCC was a better way to go).

2) Will it connect to Success Factors, WFS and Boomi successfully.

3) Will it handle all the traffic between SF/WFS/Boomi to S4/GW/etc both inbound and outbound? Is there something else we need?

4) Does the Cloud Connector get installed in the DMZ, or in the application server zone (we were intending to originally have a DMZ with WD and SAPRouter in it, an application zone where we'd have the APP servers for S/4 etc, and a DB zone where we'd place HANA).

I've looked through the information at https://help.sap.com/viewer/cca91383641e40ffbe03bdc78f00f681/Cloud/en-US/e6c7616abb5710148cfcf3e75d9... and I think these are still my outstanding questions. If there's any other documentation etc that you know of that would be of value, I'd appreciate it.
