Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where i need to block the certain IDOC generic adapters from being exported to higher environment. is there any possible approach to make this happen??

can we achieve this by modifying Adapter metadata? if so, by which parameter?

Please suggest me your ideas to achieve this.

Regards,

Yaswanth M

Hi Yaswanth,

My few cents, even if you find a way to avoid to export to an higher PI environment you will not can to avoid that a PI developer can do all ID configuration from the start in that higher enviroment.

Hello Yashwanth,

AFAIK this is not possible, restrict the roles of transport to all the users or put the unused generic channels in one CS and ensure that its not moved.

HI Raghuraman,

your option restrict the roles of the transport to all the users...

This will disable the export feature for all the objects correct? can this be done for only selective object IDs?

Hello Yashwanth,

For all only. I don't think you can restrict for individual objects.

only way could be add all in the CS give the description as do no transport and only one user can take care of transport so that he will ensure only required objects will be always added in transports.

Hi Yaswanth,

I don't think certain Comm channels can be blocked from export using Adapter metadata, So only possibility is to group all those critical CCs under a CS as Raghuraman said or the person has to be cautious while doing exports.
