Confustion with Integration Scenarios & Actions. (in IR - Design component)

Hello Friends,

In the Integration Repository (IR), there are four itmes

Integration Scenarios & Integration Processes

Interface Objects

Mapping Objects

Adapter Objects

Under the first item 'Integration Scenarios & Integration Processes'

What is the significance of

Integration Scenarios and Actions.

When do we use this and are these 2 items can be avoided while working on a scenario using SOAP Adapter.

I would appreciate if some one can clarify this confusion.

Thanks

Ram

Integration scneario is a template for the directory configuration. One can totally avoid IS to implement a scneario by manually configuring the directory.

Action refers to the communication channel at low level. It is nothing but a kind of triggering mechanism which is replaced by the communication channels at run time (This is my understanding only..!!).

    Hi Ram,

Integration scenarios will give us the over all business flow in our interface design. It will models the message flow. The flow of messages between the components is represented by connections between these actions ( like sender,receiver..).

You can ignore this part while developing your scenario.

    Thanks!!
