Can anyone suggest me stepe and transaction code of the purchasing of Gas cylinder (including return of empty cylinder).

Dear Venugopal,

You can map your return of empty cylinders in SAP under Return Transport packaging ( Special stock indicator M).

It is stored in your premises , but belongs to vendor.It does not form part of the valuated stock .

You can make good receipt of these cylinders against purchase order , returnable transport packaging can be entered as non order item.In the MIGO you can define separate default value for the movement type for the special stock type M .

You enter the return of transport packaging( cylinder) to the vendor using reversal movement 502 M or 562 M.

PO for Gas filled cylinder can be handled as per normal PO procedure.

hi,

first u create the RTP material code for cylinder

(material type LEIH)

u follow the same proceedure for receiving the GAS.

while passing the GR for Gas, add the material code of RTP in the second line manually by ticking the + indiactor (below line item qty and above account assignment in MIGO).

here when u add it will auto maticaly take u to 501 mvt, there u have to mention M special indiactor and have to mention the vendor code.

while sending back the same to vendor u can do MIGO by 502-m.

dear

After creation of Material in material master

raise the pr for the same for single line item but at the time of making PO you have to copy of the item in the second line and ticked as free (for empty cylinder) and value should be 0.1 (without ref to pr) for copied item

if the system not allowed to take without ref to pr then you have to make two line item pr

in GR time the do the 103/105/501 for first line item and 104/106/502 for 2 item

Hi,

make a material master for gas cylinder with materila type as "UNBW",with this your material will not be valuated but you can maitain the stock qty.

make PO for Gas as well as the cyclinder and you can make the GR for both Gas and Cylinder the cylinder qty gets updated no the value,then at the end of the day you can come to know how many cylinders you have,then you can return them to vendor.

Sorry for not mentioning the transactions and MVT.
