Choose among PI/PO and HCI

Hi Experts,

When a customer has both PI/PO and HCI applications in his landscape. If we get a new requirement to build an interface based on what criteria should I choose on what to use among PI/PO and HCI. Can you please elaborate? Thanks a ton in advance! I will be grateful if you can help me to know this.

    Hi Ramu,

There are lot of factors you need to consider if you have both in the landscape.
    1. If your clients long term strategy is to move to cloud, I will recommend to use HCI.
    2. If Source / Target systems are Cloud compatible you should go for HCI.
    3. If source / target systems are legacy system and they dont support cloud integration, you have to use PO.
    4. Based on the requirement, explore Prepackaged content in HCI.
    5. Based on interface requirement, check where (HCI or PO) you can utilise available standard features.

    Thanks,
    Pushkar

    Hello Ramu,

    Additionally check the below link

Based on applications/systems which are going be to integrated you have to go with SAP PI or HC.

    Hi Ramu,

It depends on the endpoints involved in the configuration, Even though cloud applications can be integrated with SAP PI/PO it will be always good to used HCI if it is available in the environment.
