BOM is not edit

pls look into this issue

ERROR:

BOM for article 300319027 in site 1613 could not be exploded

Message no. M7535

we have BOM with is used by user without maintaing components. now we r trying to edit that material but is not allowing. pls do the need ful ASAP.

(note; user not agring for delete the same & for createing new one)

What do you mean by "BOM with is used by user without maintaing components" ??

When you say BOM, you must have maintained components.

If I have understood your problem correctly, you want to add / change some datas for a particular component in material master and you are unable to do the same. Am I correct??

If this is the situation, first of all, you have to ensure that whether the data which you are going to edit is in the view (like Basic Data1, MRP1 etc) already extended. If the view is already extended, go to MM02, give the material code, select the views in which you want to make changes and do so.

Alternatively, if the view is not extended in which case, if you go to MM02, you wont be able to see the said view. For example, at the time of material creation in MM01, if MRP2 view is not selected, then while going into MM02, you cant see this MRP2 tab. In that case, go to MM01, give the material code and also under the tab "copy". Select the views in which you wanted to make changes and press "Enter".

Now you will see a remarks at the bottom of your screen that "Material already created and will be extended". You can make any changes you want now.
