SolMan 7.2 - error in solman_setup

Former Member

Hello,

I'm working on installation SolMan 7.2 SPS 5.

Step 1 "System preparation" so far ok.

ABAP and JAVA are able to sent to SLD

Sychronization SLD -- LMDB ok

Current step is "insfrastructure preparation"

2.1 "Define HTTP connectivity" there is a problem :

--> enter ICM data in Java-Application-Server isn't possible

I have ignored it and continued with step 2.2 "Enable connectivity"

The second step "Check user Management engine Setting" failed:

--> URL not valid. Host not found.

Already checked notes 2512575 and 2334094

LMDB reports under "technical systems the Java ports should be ok

Could be that someone tell me what to do ?

Regards, Reinhard Doeker

Hi everyone!

I have encounter an error in Define HTTP Connectivity step. The rfc tests are fine, the UME ping RFC is successful, but the configuration cannot be saved: Error when saving. Message No. AGS_SIZE_FRWK_MSG001. Ping the logical port TEST_CONNECTIVITY_J2EE (note 2584685) is failing with 401 error, as described in the note, but UMEBackendConnection is fine. I dont know how to proceed further.

I have followed all the note I have found. I have also opened a incident at SAP.

Any hint for me?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

If I recall well, you have to add UMEBackendConnection in java interface. from java nwa interface, go to identity management, then tab configuration=>abap system and simply add UMEBackendConnection in the Destination rfc ume.

Then validate configuration.

Hope this will help you.

Peter

Hi Reinhard Doeker:

I have the same issue in the step check user management? What was the resolution in your case?

Unfortunately I have not found anything so far. Step Define HTTP connectivity is fine in mu case and my JAVA URLs are fine. it would be great if you can provide some tips.

Cheers

Hi Andy,

Can you send a screenshot of your inputs in ABAP application server and the available selection in it?

i think you should use the link with port 50000(http) or 50001(https)

then if it work.....

for java use link with port of 5 + Solman Java Instance Number + 00 (eg. http://dev.company.com:50200)

Hello Reinhard Doeker,

1. Check in Infrastructure Preparation --> Step 1.2 LMDB content check --> Field "Application Server JAVA" if your JAVA SID is correctly defined.

2. When you navigate to step Infrastructure Preparation --> Step 2.1 Enable Java Connectivity, you will get a pop-up to enter the java system data. Enter your java hostname here

Thanks,

Karthik
