Problem in creating Sales Order

Hi,

When i try to create sales order in the sales area XXX XX XX, inputs sold-to-party,ship-to-party,material and qty and press enter.The error displayed is

"Ship-to-party is not defined for the sales area XXX XX 01".

Please help me to correct the above error.

this error basically the cause of the common dist. channel and common division setting,

GO to the Tr. code Of VOR1 & VOR2.

Maintain the settings. this is enough to solve ur error

reward points if useful.

I suggest u can check as below

1. common division setting in IMG

2. order type setting for division.

Then maybe do the adjustment in master.

First you will check the ship to party Sale Area XD03 it is not define or not match to Sold to party, Go to XD01 & create/extend the sale area.

Hi

For creating a sales order sold to party ship to party , material all should be there in same sales area which we put in very first screen of VA01 . System first check customization data i.e order type , then customer master data i.e sold to party and ship to party nos and then Material no with organisation data ( i.e it is there in sales area or not )

If u r getting error for ship to party goto VD01 or XD01 and extend ur ship to party master data in the sales area in which u r creating sales order .

Goto VD01 OR XD01 Enter the customer no. and sales area in which u want to extend and press enter and fill all the necessary field and save .

just check the sales area of the material.

in the basic data1 or sales org data tab change the division to that of sold to pARTY.

THE ERROR IS COMING BECAUSE THE MATERIAL IS HAVING THE DIFFERENT DIVISION TO THAT OF SHIP TO PARTY

In VD01, extend the XXX XX 01 sales area for the customer.
