Standing order
order through which settlement of all the maintenance tasks will take place that do not have an individual order.
Mainly used during long shutdown,you create one order and assign as Standing order,then you can confirm for this order for long period and then you can settle.
Settlement order
Order on which the PM order should be settled.
This is mianly used if you want to settle the cost to the order,this will be mainly used in during construction of equipment where a Internal order will be created and assigned to the equipment,then when you create PM order the internal order will the receiver of the cost
This order is usually an internal order from Controlling (CO).
