​S/4HANA 1709 - is the excitement dying down? Who has it installed somewhere?

S/4HANA 1709 is out for 1 month now, and as far as I can tell there has been no blog like "I now have 1709 and this is how it's like:".

There are blogs on 1709, no doubt, but they all(?) are "explaining" (not to say marketing) blogs by SAP-Employees.

I know when I got 1510 I was excited, and I blogged about it.
I guess others felt similar.

Now I'm wondering: has the excitement died down?
Or is it just that there are no 1709-Installtions (e.g. dev, Sandbox...) outside of SAP yet?
(or, have the users with access to those installations left SAP Community?)

As for me:
I'd love to have my 1709-System, but this weekend for the 2nd time (1st time was 2 weeks ago) the upgrade (from 1610) failed.
(In case this has a meaning to you: "Checks after phase MAIN_NEWBAS/RUN_ESH_RECREATE_IDX were negative!"
"Batchjob RSUPG_ENTERPRISE_SEARCH failed." )

And SAP wouldn’t timely respond to our prio 1 issue....

So: do YOU have access to a S/4HANA 1790 System? (and maybe care to blog about it?)

Small update: meanwhile we got our system upgraded to 1709, but I didn't go discovering new features yet...

Hello Joachim,

I have upgraded our sandbox system to the 1709 release. It's working fine, consultants really like the new Fiori Apps.

I thought about writing a blog about it, but the process is so similar to the upgrade to 1610 and I thought it doesn't make sense 🙂

But I remember I had a problem with one of the addon components - there was no new version available that would work with the 1709. Too bad it was not reported by the maintenance planner, but only during the SUM process.

Hi Joachim,

we are on the last mile for the SAP S/4HANA 1709 fully-activated appliance in SAP CAL (expected for next week).

This is a net-new install, though.

Hello Joachim,

We have upgraded our system to 1709 release. Busines working fine but facing issues in SAPUI5 apps.
In SAPUI5, BlockLayout and Image controls are not working properly.

BlockLayout: When I am testing in Locally or by BSP app its working fine but When I run the app through FioriLaunch Pad BlockLayout alignments are showing differently.
