write protected text file

Hi,

As per the requirement, I have to write a upload (BDC) program to upload the time data in 2011 info type from the text file.

There will be multiple presentation server in different locations and the same program will be executed from those locations using the transaction.

As the program will be executed from various locations manually therefore there is chance of data manupation of text file time data. The text time data file will be provided by vendors .

so, the question is:

1. Can we ask the vendors to give the write protected time data text file, so that no one can edit the text file when it is at presentation server for upload purpose.

2. Can the ABAP (BDC program) read the write protected file for upload purpose.

Please share your expertise.
