I am getting following error while CIF-ing (activating CIF model) stock for a product at a location.
-
the long text for error message----
Stock posting for product xxxx and location xxxx is not possible
Message no. /SAPAPO/STOCK003
Diagnosis
For product xxxx and location xxxx, there is no pegging area in SAP APO. This may be due to one of two reasons:
1. You have not yet created a location product in SAP APO for the combination of product and location as is mentioned above.
2. A corresponding location product does exist, but there is a data inconsistency between the liveCache and the SAP APO database.
System Response
SAP APO does not execute the stock posting.
Procedure
3. If there is no location product for product xxxx and location xxxx, create it and assign it to the active model.
4. If a location product for product xxxx and location xxxx does exist, determine and correct the inconsistencies of the stocks and product- location combinations with the consistency check for the liveCache and SAP APO database (transaction /SAPAPO/OM17).
Post the stock again.
-
1. I have checked that product location combination does exist in APO.
2. Checked the inconsistency using transaction /SAPAPO/OM17. No inconsistency is seen.
Need your help to solve this issue.
Regards
Pradeep

Not sure if the location product is assigned to active model. Can you check that ?
You may also want to explore running program
/SAPAPO/PEGAREA_LC_CREATE with version 000 and
running regular planning area consistency checks like PPEAPO_CONSISTENCY_CHECK.

Thank you Srinivas for your reply.
yes, product-location is assigned to a active model.
As you suggested I ran /SAPAPO/PEGAREA_LC_CREATE with version 000
When I am running PPEAPO_CONSISTENCY_CHECK I get message: "No data found with these selection criteria"
Does this suggest that I am missing something?
Another point, now I tried sending stock data to same APO system but from a different R/3 system. This is working fine.
Can there be some issues with R3 system from which I am trying to send data?

Hi,
Please check whether your Location Type isn't 1001 (Production Plant). If that's the case then you'll face this issue for sure. To solve the issue it is necessary to apply the following notes:

Hello,
do you have any code implemented in the CIF exit or badi for stocks inbound APO?
If this is the case, incoherent coding can be the cause of this error. For example, check if you have any change on the field location but you have not changed loctype accordingly.
Kind regards.
Marcos
