Alert transport

Hi,

We already having alerting system in Prd environment.

Now i have Created new alert rules in Dev environment.Can any one suggest which one is better to reflect the new alert rules in Prd environment from the below 2 options?

1)To transport the new alert rules from QA to PRD.

or

2)Directly create the alert rules in PRD environment.
