PURCHASE REQUISITION

while creating purchase requisition through /nme51n is there any process by which we can make the column SHORT TEXT displayable i.e. non-modifiable only as per material code?????

like if i have raw material with material code starting with 1 series,storematerial with 2 series,stationary material with 3 series etc.

what i want is whenever i will be using material code with 1 series the short text column willbecome grey i.e.non-modifiable but while using material code other than 1 series it shoud be in modifiable mode.

is it possible??
