Regarding SAP automation suite

Hi experts,

I want to develop a jave program which will access the a BAPI in R/s system. To start with I am going through the book called "JAVA and BAPI technology for SAP" by Ken kroes and anil thakur. In that there is a discussion on SAP automation kit to develop the java applications. To download this kit it has been metntioned to fo saplabs.com site, but when I try to get into this site i am being redirected to sap.com and I do not find any download section. from where do I download this tool??. By the way is this tool obsolete now ( like webstudio for developing ITS templates...).

Please suggest me how do i proceed.

Hi! snakar,

from your Post what i understood is, you wanted to access a BAPI from R/3 using Java.

if yes, then you can Develop the application using WebDynpro application.WebDynpro is a kind

of framework like struts, in which you write Java code.To Develop any WebDynpro appl. you should have NWDS as an IDE.NWDS is freely available on SDN.

if you are not aware of WebDynpro appl. then i am giving you link to start with WebDynpro appl.
