Regarding SAP automation suite

Hi experts,

I want to develop a jave program which will access the a BAPI in R/s system. To start with I am going through the book called "JAVA and BAPI technology for SAP" by Ken kroes and anil thakur. In that there is a discussion on SAP automation kit to develop the java applications. To download this kit it has been metntioned to fo saplabs.com site, but when I try to get into this site i am being redirected to sap.com and I do not find any download section. from where do I download this tool??. By the way is this tool obsolete now ( like webstudio for developing ITS templates...).

Please suggest me how do i proceed.
