Hi All.

I am looking to create a custom factsheet in fiori from scratch for a simple example. But when I search on blogs and documents , I do not get the steps for custom factsheet. It would be really helpful if someone can help me with the blog or link for the same.

Any reason to not look at Object Pages instead? They start to be used in the place of fact sheets in newer versions. There are lots of Object Page examples in the UI5 documentation and SDK. Not much for fact sheets though.

Hi Ethan,

Not specific reason , It's just one of the requirement I got where I have to create a factsheet based on a CDS view .

Ok - I haven't seen any examples for Fact Sheets, which is a bit strange. I think you'll just have to look at existing ones in your system. If you look in the Fiori apps library, each Fact Sheet "app" includes information about the XML definition file and the service that backs it. Here's the page for the Customer fact sheet:'F0046')

You'll have to look in LPD_CUST to see how the link is generated.

Best of luck!

Hi Amber,

Were you able to create factsheet already?

Please let me know how to deploy and use in Fiori Launchpad.

If not here is the link might be good starting point:

But i am still looking for how to see it in Fiori launchpad.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Amber

Factsheet is an old term that we don't use very much anymore. What you should look to use instead is an Object Page - in S/4HANA all the factsheets were converted to Object Pages.

Object Pages are a specific type of Fiori element and you can find all the related blogs in the Fiori elements wiki

Generally with an Object Page you create a List Report/Object Page combination, and then you can bypass the list by passing sufficient parameters to identify a single object.

Hope that helps get you started.

Hi Jocelyn,

Thanks for inputs here.

Few more concerns here it will be really helpful if you could provide inputs on those as well:

1. I understand SAP is preferring object page instead of factsheet, but if we create just object page without list report-

a) can we deploy same on abap repository? ( we have on premise system 1709)

b) we won't be creating tile for it just target mapping as we do for factsheet?

c) if we want to open that object page from some other app, as currently we activate search connectors what would be the case for object page then?

2. This will no longer act as search connector right? ( in drop down near search bar in Fiori)

1 a) and 1 b), i will be trying in system but your confirmation will be really helpful.

1 c) and 2, can you can clarify on these?

Thanks & Regards,
