check contents of file C:\SAPinst ORACLE KERNEL/SAPSDIC.log

you will get a clue on what is failing.

chances are that your DB is down... or that you forgot to restart your Oracle listener.

hi,

Such an error on this step means that one or more tables used for the view creation are missing in the database although at this point of time they should be there as all other load processes have already finished.

The first thing to do is to find out which table (or tables) is missing. It can be easily checked on database level.

Please note that in the example above, table names are TLIBG and ADIR. TADIR. T0001 and T0002 serve here only as aliases.

Furthermore it is important to know which SAP<tabart_name>.STR file contains a definition of missing tables. Let us assume it is SAPXXX.STR.

Possible reasons for the error are:

1) the installation tool (R3SETUP or SAPinst) is not aware that SAPXXX.STR file exists.

This can happen when SAPXXX.STR file has not been copied from source system in case of a system copy or from EXPORT CD in case of a new installation.

2) some of the parameter files described per note # 118059 and # 455195 (for R3load higher than 6.10) are missing or corrupt, and the corresponding command and/or task file has not been created. As a result the corresponded load process has not been started at all.

If so (for both 1st and 2nd reasons) there should be no SAPXXX.log file in the installation directory. In such cases all the objects that belong to SAPXXX.STR file are missing in the database.

3) missing table was not created because of a database or operating system error. If so you should be able to find error message in SAPXXX.log file.

4) for R3load version >= 6.10 only: because of some reason the load process of SAPXXX.STR has been hard terminated (Ctrl-C, power failure, OS or hardware crash, etc.). If so there should be SAPXXX.TSK.bck file written in the installation directory.

Corresponded solutions are:

1) copy missing SAPXXX.STR into the export directory on the target system in the case of system copy or into the directory where all the EXPORT CDs are copied to for an installation. Start the database instance installation from the scratch.

FOR EXPERIENCED CONSULTANTS ONLY: an alternative would be to create SAPXXX.CMD file manually, generate SAPXXX.TSK file (in case of R3load version >= 6.10) and start R3load for SAPXXX.CMD manually. After this R3load process finished you can re-start the installation tool as normal.

2) find out exactly which parameter files are missing and copy the missing (or corrupted) files either from the corresponding Export-CD's (new installation) or from the export directory of the source system (system copy).

3) fix the problem that caused the termination. Re-start R3load for SAPXXX.CMD file manually. After this R3load process is finished you can re-start the installation tool as normal.

4) start R3load for SAPXXX.CMD manually as described in note 455195. Repeat the procedure for every SAP*.TSK.bck file found in the installation directory. After all R3load processes have finished you canre-start the installation tool as normal.

Important for IDES installations:

For some IDES-installations it is required to build a virtual Export-disk on the local filesystem. You will find a detailled documentation on your IDES Export CD in a readme file or in an IDES-specific documentation.

If you miss this, you will also have the situation that entire TABARTS and many tables are missing.

Thanks for such an elaborative answer, but I am sure that I am not that much competent to understand all this. I thought, I will be getting few steps answers to do.

Anyways thanks and regards, once again i need to format the system.

Hello,

Please remove the Spaces in "SAPinst ORACLE KERNEL" directory and try it.
