Hi Folks,

Client has specified categories for actions. For example, Leaving action is configured in the system and reasons for leaving action are also configured in table T529A. However, client required some more details against each category. If leaving action is executed, i have specified the following reasons;

1.Resignation
2.Retirement
3.Termination
4.Dismissed
5.Death Completion of Tenure

Client requirement is to further bifurcate the reasons, for example if an employee's leaving reason is entered as Death, than further reasons for Death is to be maintained in IT0000. Further reasons could be

Natural death
On site death
Accident
Death due to diseases.

Is there any standard infotype available for this or should i enhance IT0000 through customization? Please help !

Hi,

Why don't you create a "Deceased" action and add the reason codes under it?

Hope this helps.

Hi Donnie,

Actually client have specified generic and comprehensive actions. Similarly, if Leaving action with reason Resignation is executed, than multiple reasons for Resignations are required. Actually client required "Reasons for Reason" in personnel actions.

There is no standard functionality to capture "reasons for reason" and it is futile from a lot of perspectives. You would need to drill down to 3 levels to find the actual reason. You can have the leaving action and add the "reasons for reason" separated by a '-'. For example: Resignation - Job Dissatisfaction; Resignation - Other Position and so on. It is not elegant, but it is the most standard way. I would not recommend enhancement for this.

Hope this helps.

Donnie
