DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT

Dear all

presently we are using ECC5 windows 2003 advansed server 32 bit with oracle 9.2.0.07

Present initsid.ora file are the followings parameter

DB_BLOCK_SIZE 8192

DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT* 8

can i change these parameter DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT =16 or 32 for better performance of the server

    Hello,

    do no change it.

    SAP recommended value for that parameter is 8.

    If you change it and have performance issues, the first thing SAP will tell you is to set it back

    Hello , i think DB block size is not a changable parameter & also not recomended.This is a threshold value by default.
