PR Release strategy

Hi All

We have to use a PR Release Workflow, with upto four levels of release. The release strategy(with classification) is defined in SPRO. Upon creation of the PR in ME51N, the release strategy tab appears, with values of release codes as specified. But when I try to test run the workflow with the same PR number and the relevant release code, an error message comes before the processing of the workflow can start. The message is "The release code does not exist in T161E".

But table T161E is the table for storing release code for release strategy without classification.

Why is the workflow trying to verify the release code with a release strategy that does not even exist? Is there any manual way to link the workflow with WITH CLASSIFICATION strategy? Please help me in this regard.

It could be the case the release code is getting used up somewhere else.

Please use a new release code since these kind of error comes up when someone abruptly deactivate a release strategy in past.

Check whether u have done the following process:

1) Edit characteristic (Table name- CEBAN, Feild name-MATKL)

2) Edit Class

3) Define release Procedure for PO

3.1 Define release group

3.2 Define release codes

3.3 define release indicators

3.4 define release strategy

4) click on release prerequisites, here assign the four levels of release by ticking (which release code is prerequisite for other)->check release satuses->check the classification
